I expected more from a five-star hotel like the Grand. On the day we checked out, I realized I had forgotten my expensive electric toothbrush in the room but decided to wait until the next morning to call, understanding it was a busy time (during Christmas). To my frustration, the staff claimed they couldn’t find it, and I was disappointed that they didn’t call immediately after the room was cleaned to inform me if anything had been left behind.
For a luxury establishment, this lack of care and proactive communication is unacceptable. Guests trust hotels to handle such situations professionally, and it’s disappointing that basic standards were not met. Although I really enjoyed other aspects of our stay, this incident completely ruined my experience with the Grand. I hope they take such matters more seriously in the future.
