Highly recommend
I had an excellent experience. The landlord, Qin, was very enthusiastic and helpful in solving our problems. The property I stayed in was located on the first floor, right next to the reception. The room wasn’t very big but was cozy and warm. It had a bathtub with plenty of hot water available. The Wi-Fi wasn’t lightning-fast, but it was sufficient—I even managed to host a phone meeting one morning. The bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable and clean. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including self-serve berry muesli and yogurt. It was a flawless experience with nothing to complain about! Highly recommend everyone to check out this property!

Danielle has designed a fantastic, welcoming atmosphere at The Apple House. She and her staff made sure we had what we needed during our stay - directions & sight seeing suggestions included. There was nothing to dislike about the Apple House. It was welcoming and friendly, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. If I need to stay in a York hotel again, I would choose the Apple House.

Lovely little hotel.
Friendly hotel only 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Lovely welcome, beautiful breakfast, great selection of teas and coffees in the room. Car park extremely handy too.

Perfect little guest house
I've always wanted to stay here but haven’t been able to because its always been full. Having now stayed there, I understand why as this place is excellent. We received a very friendly welcome. The communal areas and room were spotless. The hotel is quiet - it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. Bed comfortable, bedding clean, bathroom spotless. Tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, and kettle in the room. Central heating worked well and the room was cosy. Good pressure from the shower. Breakfast was appealing and tasty. Very reasonable peice and the location convenient for city centre and railway station. Can't fault a thing about this place and hope to be able to stay again soon!
