Lovely, peaceful property
This was a lovely, beautifully furnished farmhouse with a warm, welcoming Aga in the kitchen. My son, his wife and 2 children plus my daughter, her husband and two children all stayed in the farmhouse and my husband and I stayed in the Stables, which is just down the Lane from the farmhouse. We all enjoyed the stay, and I’m sure that in the drier months it would have been lovely to use the garden.

Beautiful country escape
Tranquil escape from everything!! Love the sound of the water and the peaceful location with stunning views. The new stable cottage a real bonus extra. The host was super thoughtful and helpful prior to the holiday too.

Fabulous house with a lovely garden in a gorgeous location
Thoroughly recommend this property for large groups. Group of 12 stayed here. We had a great time. Everything worked, everything was clean, and a stunning setting. The dining room, kitchen, bbq - all catered well for our group without feeling claustrophobic. All rooms are a vey good size. And the two cottages were great. In short, I can’t fault it.

50th Birthday Celebrations
We loved this property - the flexibility of the two cottages plus the main house made it perfect for our large group. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of things to entertain ourselves within the house plus we were able to walk to Sherborne from the back door. We really could have done with more time to enjoy it fully!

This property is as advertised except the level of equipment in the kitchen far exceeds what one would normally expect. The layout of the house is conducive to large groups. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are spacious

Excellent accommodation for a family holiday
The Farm house with is very quaint and Stable cottage which is modern and stylish were great for a family holiday. The garden is very spacious with a nice bbq area and the children loved playing hide and seek. We also played table tennis and croquet which were provided. Unfortunately our plans changed close to the holiday with my daughter and partner moving house and the completion date changing, Sarah the host was very flexible and accommodating in order for us to still have the holiday. To summarise, it’s a great location for a family holiday in a tranquil location.

Gorgeous house and cottage
We spent a lovely week away with family in this impressive house and associated stables cottage. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The cottage is newly renovated and perfect for a couple or older teenagers. And the garden is large, with outdoor sofas, BBQ and a great dining area tucked away by the stream. A very relaxing place to stay, well located near to delicious restaurants in Sherborne and only and hour from the South Coast. Highly recommended.

Great Country Escape
We had a really great time chilling in the country in a beautiful rural location. The cottage was ideal as we wanted somewhere were we could relax with our family and just take the dog for a walk. Huge comfy beds in every room. Lots of room for everyone to relax. Very cosy sitting room with log fire and three large sofas. Great to enjoy the evenings together.

Short break
Excellent property. It needs hooks behind the doors for eg dressing gowns, a mirror in the downstairs bathroom and a measuring jug in the kitchen. The new heating system is impossible to work. Otherwise everything was provided and the beds are very comfortable. A very good few days were enjoyed.

Poor management
I had a good stay, but was wrongly accused Me of dog urine in the master bedroom carpet and try to charge me for cleaning on top of the cleaning charge. I did not even have a pet with me in the house. Pls be careful and make sure you have someone to checks before check in and check out. When I try to explain to the owner she didn’t want to listen to me and insisted on the change. It was infact water which was spilt on the day we left.

What a wonderful home, beautiful
Booking was very simple and any queries we had were answered quickly and were very helpful. I will definitely use the site again when looking to arrange a simple getaway. The cottage and grounds are stunning just as shown in the pictures. It was clean & tidy throughout and well cared for. The kitchen was gorgeous and was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, glasses, mugs, everything we needed for our stay. The towels and bedding were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The views from the bedrooms upstairs were lovely. The large enclosed garden was perfect and very welcome for the dogs that were with us. As we were only there for the weekend we did not have enough time to explore the area further to find off road walks for them. We did walk into the village but it was a little difficult with the dogs as there were no pavements but as long you were aware of the traffic (not overly busy) it was ok. The seating in the garden was sufficient & comfortable and the covered barbecue area worked well . One slight thing to mention was that barbecue grills had not been cleaned so we had to do this before use. Not really a criticism, more an observation as this is more to do with those that used it last and presumably did not clean it. We all agreed we had a brilliant time, loved it and would definitely go back. We would definitely recommend the cottage to others. My only advice would be to keep doing what you already are. It was a super property to stay in, but of course the quality was reflected in the price!
One could not walk over the fields because there was no bridge over the river. We think that the description of the property and surrounding area had not been updated. E,g. The teenagers den was not apparent. We think it had probably been converted to a bedroom with 2 single beds. We thought there was a lack of hooks, ie door hooks. There were wood lice nesting in the leather sofa! The washing machine filter hadn’t been cleaned out. The dishwasher bottom rack had 3 rollers missing and was difficult to roll in and out. The Jacuzzi bath wasn’t fully operational. As we were staying only for 5 days these negative factors didn’t unduly bother us, but it might has become a problem staying longer.

A Country retreat - too short time wise.
What a lovely, warm, inviting house. Beautiful decor, the kitchen has everything you need and the farm shop is very close. The children loved all the different parts of the garden and had a great game of hide and seek. They also played badminton. We did not use the TV or the tech, only the wifi, it was so nice to sit and chat and look at the garden. The dogs were interested in the sheep, but we are good doggy owners :) nice walk down the lane in the early morning with them. The Rose & Crown in Trent was lovely for lunch, we did book as recommended and it was good that we did, they were very busy.

Lovely warm and cosy farmhouse in the countryside
We went for a long weekend just before Christmas and the cottage was perfect for the seven of us despite the bad weather outside. Our 13 year old boy thought he had died and gone to heaven as he could watch endless Doctor Who episodes without even getting out of bed. We loved the aga in the kitchen, perfect for cooking the food bought from the farm shop up the road The beds were all wonderfully comfortable and with lovely fluffy towels in the bathrooms. We had a delicious Sunday lunch nearby at the Rose and Crown in Trent. And all less than 2 and a half hours drive from London.

Lovely cottage, great size, excellent features
We were 6 adults and 1 dog staying for 4 nights in this lovely, well maintained and modernised cottage that still has plenty of charm. Location is quiet and the surroundings are lovely (fields, sheep, paths to walk). The house has been lovingly refurbished without removing too much of the original features which means access to two excellent working fireplaces. The lounge comfortably seats 6 or more and each bedroom is a good size. Both the ensuite bathroom and main bathroom are great. The kitchen is large with plenty of room for the whole family to gather whilst cooking around the Aga (an standard oven is also available). The garden is a great size and would be fantastic for summer time. Internet connectivity was a touch spotty during our stay but this is not the fault of the owners or the technology they have installed (which is high quality and well up for great coverage throughout the house), this was BT’s issue during the weekend. Add to this the Sonos system controlled by the iPad in the kitchen (or from your phone if you already have your own setup at home), the multiple smart TVs and the ping pong table in the garage and you’re set for just about every eventuality. 10/10 on this place would not only stay again but would probably buy it too.
