Indian Lakes Cabin with private beach and dock lake side

Lake front property, quaint and cozy with enclosed sunroom that has a full size futon that will sleep 1 adult or 2 kids. There is a spacious deck overlooking the lake with table seating for 6 and a comfy seating area with an optional large umbrella for shade. There is also a charcoal grill for your convenience and a hammock in the back yard to relax in. You’ll enjoy your own sandy beach area and boat dock with a swim platform for kids and adults Alike. There is also a private boat slip with electric for your boat. We also have 14 foot fishing boat with tiller steering for rent at $150/daily. Messick Lake is a fishing lake that is attached to 4 other lakes you can easily access by boat- 2 others that are also fishing lakes and 2 that are fish and ski lakes with no curfew on tubing or skiing. You’ll also find a restaurant you can access by boat on one of the lakes! The cabin although small is comfortable and enjoyable with 2 bedrooms - 1 with a queen size bed and 1 with a full size bed. There is AC and heat in the cabin for your comfort. The living room has an oversized chair, couch that could sleep 1 adult or kif, 1 futon that can sleep 2 adults, and upon request we can provide 2 extra cots. The cabin is fully stocked with a full size fridge, stove, coffee pot (we provide the filters), pots and pans and silverware, just bring your food and beverages! The beds have clean and fresh linens, and weekend stays will enjoy 6 clean bath towels while full week stays will enjoy 10 clean bath towels. There are Adult (2 included) and kid Kayaks (2 available and included), additional kayaks ($12) to rent as well as well as a canoe ($15). There are many walking trails and parks nearby to enjoy and local restaurants. There is also a nice boat launch next to the property! Bring floating devices or noodles to lounge in lake on and enjoy your stay!

Planned a Fall trip to relax at the lake and enjoy the surrounding area. Weather was in the mid 80s during our stay. Had a great time and the days passed by way too quickly.

We loved the cabin! We celebrated our anniversary and birthday here. At one point during celebrating we had a total of 7 people our two labs. It fit us all. Couldn’t ask for better. We will be back.

Wonderful Lake Vacation
Cozy cabin on an amazing no wake lake. Cabin has everything you could possibly need. Stayed very cool inside during our HOT weekend, but we spent most of the time outside anyways because the private beach is amazing!!! Perfectly sandy and the perfect depth for adults, kids, and pets. Deidre and Charlie were amazing and so helpful. Especially when we accidently locked ourselves out! Charlie ran a spare key over asap. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. This place will now be a family tradition to visit yearly.

Relaxing Family Vacation Spot
This property was ideal for our family vacation with 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. It was very relaxing, we were able to sit on the deck and watch the grandkids enjoy the beach. The propery owners went above and beyond to accommodate our grandkids love of swimming when they where having work done to the beach area. We made it home and we are already planning a return trip in the fall.

The stay was Great. Host was Great. Would be a perfect spot when weather is warmer to enjoy the lake. The only thing that would have been good is a little table or card table to be able to play games inside, could not find a light to play on outside table. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Great place while RV in the shop
Absoluteky the perfect cabin on a lake. Super comfy and cozy. View of the lake was awesome. I still work full time remotely, so set up laptop and monitor on snack bar, best office veiw. Hosts are wonderful and can call them with any question. Shipshewana is close by, a cute Amish town. We definately will come back. Thank you, is was perfect. We had 2 little dogs, they loved watching squirrels, birds and playing.

Wonderful getaway

What a gem!
Our experience on Messick Lake was outstanding! Deirdre was such an accommodating host and the cabin was lovely with plenty of amenities and the best view ever. My family, (including the dog,) had a wonderful time, there was something for everyone! We would love to rent this lake house again in the future :)

Cute cottage!
This place is so cute, relaxing and peaceful. Exactly as described. The view is so pretty! Everything you need is here. Communication with the owner was excellent! The owners are very nice and love their dogs too! We were so glad to be able to take our dog with us. We would definitely come back and highly recommend!!

Me and my family enjoyed every seconds of our stay here. Very cozy place. Comfortable and the owner Deandra is nice. We always have visitor the property supervisor GUS (dog) he is such a sweet fur baby. If u like fishing this is the right place for u. One thing i like is its so quiet. We will be back again for sure!

Great trip! House is cozy and back porch is wonderful. A few light bulbs/ light switches didn’t work throughout the house and there is not a dishwasher so recommend bringing paper products unless you want to do dishes by hand. We also needed more trash bags and toilet paper. Overall we had a great time and the host was awesome! Weather wasn’t the warmest so we sat by fire pit a lot and enjoyed the lake views!

Nice place to relax
Nice location in the heart of Amish country - we saw more horse and buggies in our 5 days there than we have in our entire lives. We made day trips to Fort Wayne and Shipshewana and had a great time. The beach area was perfect for my kids to dig in the sand. It wasn’t quite warm enough to swim. The cottage could have been cleaned a little better as there was thick dust on all the fans and in the wooden cracks of the walls. Also, be aware there is no indoor dining area for more than 3 people. And wow, there are so many electrical switches. We still don’t know what some of them controlled and couldn’t figure out how to turn on one of the overhead fans. Labeling the switches would be so helpful! The fridge would intermittently pop open for no apparent reason, so we ended up putting one of our bins in front of the door. We met the owners while we were there (they live next door) and they were very friendly and tried to answer most of our questions.

Lovely weekend getaway
We loved our stay here! The house had everything you could need. The cabin itself was clean and cute but the outdoor space was the highlight of our trip. The lake is beautiful and so peaceful. The bonfire area with chairs was so nice for us to have in the evenings. The deck is perfect for all meals. The house itself stayed cool enough to be comfortable when inside. Our hosts were responsive and very helpful to all of our needs. We have already talked about coming back next year. Thank you!!
