“There are a lot of good things about our stay. We loved being able to walk through Stowe at all hours. We loved the convenience of having a market right next door. And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown……

“We can’t say enough good things about this studio suite and Spruce Peak Lodge. The room had everything we needed for the week and was very clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the views of the slopes are wonderful! The hotel staff were very accommodating and the entire resort at Christmas time was breathtaking. “We are from Florida had never stayed in northern Vermont and we up for some skiing and visiting winter. This retreat worked great. Exactly as described, it is a cozy spot nestled in the mountains a short walk to Smuggler’s Notch Ski Resort and under an hour to Stowe on the other side of the mountain (when Rt 108 is closed for the winter). A great base camp to explore the area and get in some winter sports. It had everything you need and everything went very smoothly. Thanks for a great winter……

“Stayed here for a summer trip. Great location. Nice view with huge covered deck. Felt very private. Apartment is easy to access and close to pool and laundry. A/C was very noisy but we only needed it during the day when we weren't there. Very dusty fans but otherwise clean. Check in process wasn't very clear. I recommend calling the actual resort to arrange key pick up. Also would have been nice to know in advance about the Do Not Drink restriction at the time of our visit so we were better……

The unit that we stayed , E 202, was reassigned to us before arrival as the one we first rented had a maintenance issue. I was disappointed in the unit for 2 reasons. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked.
