“The cottage was great for the two of us. Very quiet and relaxing. You can't really relax on the beach though because when the tide comes in it disappears. We went to Haven Beach to relax and swim - just a short drive away. But you can sit by the fire pit and enjoy the serene scene with jumping fish and herons. The cottage was well equipped with almost everything we needed for our stay. The tennis court was unusable - the picture does not reflect its current condition. The pool looks nice but we……

“We wanted somewhere where we could have a private beach to swim with our dog, and enjoy the wonderful view of the bay. This fit the bill perfectly! The water was warm, and the waves were minimal, making it a wonderful afternoon of swimming enjoyment. The house is spacious and has everything you could want or need. Just sitting in the sunroom in the morning with your coffed is worth the price alone! Highly recommended!!”

“Lovely cottage set in the woods with similarly designed vacation rentals nearby—but not too near. Well maintained, generously equipped and convenient to Irvington and a short drive to other eastern Northern Neck attractions. Perfect for me, my wife and our 9-year-old grandson. My only quibble is that I wish there had been a half bath on the main level. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.”

“The house had the perfect kitchen, great room, screen porch and terrace for me and my siblings to spend a weekend together during a larger family reunion. The owner provided clear and timely instructions for arrival and departure. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house and yard are well maintained and we loved having a dip in the pool! Plenty of off-street parking.”

“The location and fishing were great. Very nice house.very quiet. The house has smelly water that was not pleasant. The furniture in the living room needs to be replaced. But overall we enjoyed our stay. ”

“This adorable charming cottage was such a great place to stay. It exceeded our expectations. The flowers and greenery made it seem like you were in a tropical oasis. The place was so cozy and was perfect for the two of us. The front porch rockers were great for enjoying our morning coffee. The back deck was nice to sit and relax. The hot tub was in and not yet ready but is going to be a great addition. Emily & Will have made this place so enjoyable. I highly recommend.. ”

“Perfect for a couple or single person. Quiet, convenient location. Pick up everything you need for a hot breakfast, pack a lunch, and dinner on your little deck. We cooked a large breakfast and ate at local restaurants. Because of the area, fine for washing and showering, you want to buy gallon water jugs for coffee and drinking water. Only a short easy drive to the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club.”
