“Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access”

“The hotel itself is lovely and front desk staff were excellent. However there were issues with rooms being too hot. The thermostats did not work properly. I had to get another room and I saw another guest ask for another room as well, as both rooms were at 80 degrees with no way to change the temperature. The second room I got was slightly better but still too warm at 75 degrees, again with no way to change or regulate it. That was the only flaw in the stay. Otherwise the room was clean, quiet……

“We stopped in unexpectedly and booked through hotels.com. They were accommodating of my dog who wasn’t on my reservation and gave us a room that made it easy to let her out. We ordered pizza and they offered to bring it to our room since we had our hands full with a grumpy toddler and newborn. They were so kind and we will definitely be staying here again. ”
