“Five of us were signed up to do the Humboldt 1/2 marathon and 5k. We were so happy to find a house with 2 bathrooms as most listings in the area showed only one. We are an adventurous group and didn’t mind the trek to the house in the dark. For those less bold arrival in daylight might be recommended . All in all we found the house was well suited for our needs. The wrap around deck was amazing. We found lots to do in the area and had a great dinner at the Benbow Inn. We would have liked……

“Spacious home with all the desirable vacation amenities. The house was large enough for a gathering of at least 10 people if not more. There are only two bathrooms despite having 5 bedrooms, so keep that in mind. The property seemed to be designed with a “man cave” focus, minus a pool table; large TVs in every room with a grand outdoor kitchen. We could not wait until sunrise to see the beautiful views on top of the mountain. I would caution that a good vehicle is needed to get up to the house……

“We had a nice stay at this Vrbo. Great place to get right on the Avenue of the Giants, which is a beautiful drive. The house had what we needed. There is a small grocery store nearby which can give you all the basics. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. On the down side, the road (driveway?) next to the property looks like the local dump. Lots of abandoned cars and junk. The property is a great place for kids to explore nature. But it’s on a……

“We were really able to relax and share family time for a Christmas meet-up. The house was comfortable for us all (including beds). The decor was simple (not boring), neutral and calming/peaceful. A great backdrop for the Christmas decor I brought along! The main issue we had was trouble with the oven. Just don’t count on roasting for your meals!Other reviewers had trouble with the king bed being in the livingroom - don’t put anyone in there who will expect it to be private! We had no trouble……
