Clean&Cozy is close enough to beat traffic to and from a redskins game and grab 15min Uber to a boozy brunch or bar crawl on H ST! The perfect listing for couples or lone adventurer looking to avoid expensive hotels but not willing to sacrifice comfort.
The space:
Cozy yet open space. The place gets a decent amount of natural and recessed lighting. Although it is a studio layout there are distinct spaces for the bedroom, living room, etc. There is a fully stocked mini fridge, assorted teas, cordless kettle, dinner table/working space. WIFI. 55" TV with fire tv. Netflix, Hulu, Sling, and Spotify subscriptions. Full Bath. Queen bed. Comfortable couch. Plush Ruggery.
Guest access:
Entrance from the front of the house via free street parking or ride sharing arrival:
Climb the first flight of stairs walk to you left. On the right side of the house there will be a wooden door giving entrance to the back yard of the house. Once in the backyard there will be a staircases leading downstairs to a red door and your entrance to Clean&Cozy.

Backyard:
The backyard is pretty large.You’re welcome to use it. It’s a peaceful space to grab some fresh air (outdoor furniture will be an option soon) the steps or grass box are the only options for sitting outside at the moment. The area is fenced 3/4 of the way around for added privacy from neighbors. The backyard is a shared space for all guest.
Other things to note:
Ceilings are 7’ but there is a beam in the center of the apartment if you’re 6’5” or above you may need to watch your head. It’s caught me a few times lol
Neighborhood:
A typical neighborhood on the east side of the river. More mature community, many row homes, and super residential. It is not as gentrified as other places in dc but guests that are familiar with similar areas will feel right at home.
The neighbors are pretty friendly and will talk your ear off if you let them. A friendly wave or head nod and they’ll get that your not much in a talking mood.
Getting around:
Access to the Blue/Silver line metro are available via two metro stations both walking distance from Clean&Cozy. Capitol Heights metro is the closest (7 min bus ride / 15 min walk). Benning Rd Metro is the other (12 min bus ride / 19 min walk).
Street parking is free, however out of state plates cannot be parked on any DC residential street overnight on weekdays.
1 private parking spot is available in the backyard per stay.
A DC metro card is $2. I have an extra one for my guests to use during their stay but will charge a fee if lost.
House rules:
No shoes on the rugs please. They're super comfortable so socks and toes allowed :)
Please don’t lock yourself out. Only lock the bottom lock when you are inside Clean&Cozy. When leaving do not lock the bottom lock. Use the app to lock the door. Please let the smart lock help you out.
Please don’t smoke inside the property to keep the unit as clean and cozy as you found it.
Clean&Cozy is currently only allowing a maximum of 2 guests to stay with us. Please follow our rules. If it is discovered that more than 2 guests have joined the reservation we will assess a minimum charge of $500. No extra overnight guest.
Lockout fee: $50 per occurrence
Smoking fee: $65 per occurrence
