“Beautiful place, great ambiance. Our grandson loved the record player and amazing vinyl record collection. Very comfortable four poster beds. Sweet goodies awaited our arrival and a tasty breakfast served. Perfect!”

“Exposed wires (not cool for 6”3 teen) for lighting. Minimal lighting throughout property at best. Bed base in master that appeared water damaged - not the first thing you want to see in an establishment that you’ve paid good money for. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Fan in bathroom didn’t work properly. Inability to use the Venetian blinds properly. They could be open and closed but not tilted. “Great to have a room for bicycles. Had a lovely dinner at Pinnochio's restaurant. Close to Derby for riding with accomodation at a reasonable price. Lots of beds if you are travelling with lots of friends.”

“From the first communication nothing was an issue. Accommodation immaculate.. Even saw the platypus. Beds so comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom fabulous. Everything clean. Local pub great. Really close to Derby which is why we were there.. But can say if I am in the area this would be my place to stay. “The house is massive, and would be great for families to stay in the summer. It's been renovated by the owner, who was next door renovating a second house during our stay. Derby Digs lacks character and warmth, painted stark white, decorated with cheap looking prints on the walls and single light bulbs in the fixtures on the high ceilings. There are no lamps, so if you're sitting around chatting in the evenings you'll be under the full fluro lights. Our dissatisfaction was with the lack of……
