“The historic brownstone had tremendous charm and was lovely. There was a problem with the heat not working and repeated requests for something to be done were met with conflicting information about possible repairs, but nothing was done. “Five of my friends and I went to visit Salem & Boston for a long weekend and we pretty much just needed some place to sleep and shower as we were out and about the entire time and this was great for what we needed. It was close to nearby attractions in Boston and only about 40 minutes to Salem depending on traffic. It was also walking distance to Harvard Square which was nice. “This was an upcoming neighborhood. Lots of character. Transit close by and fast and easy. Very clean and rooms were big. Full sized kitchen well equipped Make sure you are OK with curving stairs. “You get a lot for the price of this place!! We enjoyed our stay, the beds were pretty uncomfortable but everything else was great. The only problem was a lady came in unannounced while we were getting dressed for the day, and came through the apartment and sat on the balcony then back through the apartment then left. We had thirty more minutes left until check out, so that was a little odd/disorienting (for us). Otherwise, great stay 😂”

“Excellent food choices nearby. Location was perfect. Good neighborhood. Easy access to train/ bus. The parking was a plus! Steep stairs but firm handrails. My kids did not have any issues going up or down the stairs. Loved to have a bathroom and bedroom available on main floor. The lower level is super comfortable and roomy. This was our first time in Boston and this duplex was perfect for us. I would stay here again if we visit some other time. ”

“This place is great! Close to Salem and just a train ride to Boston. Quiet neighborhood and close to local stores and restaurants. I stay there with my husband, Aunt and cousin all in our seventies. This is not a place for seniors or people with disabilities. The entrance you have stairs to the porch and steep stairs to the the apartment which made it hard for us. I don’t know if this is normal for this part of the country.But overall the place was nice and well stocked. Suggestion: ”
