“Spent a night in the cabin with my girlfriend to get away from the city for a night. Location to Rickets Glen State Park is amazing. I highly suggest doing the main waterfall trail there. Takes about 3 hours with moderate difficulty due to a lot of steps and slippery surfaces. The cabin definitely has an authentic rustic feel if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s clear they have done/are doing some construction there. The fire pit is a really nice one, but the beds could use some help. Also……

“Everything about our stay was perfect! The Firetower has everything you need. If you want to stay in and cook your own dinner, everything‘s provided if you want to go out there’s tons of options for restaurants nearby. If you just want to stay on the property and relax and hike around, you see tons of wildlife. If you want to explore, there’s endless options. We did a little bit of both Ricketts Glenn is about 40 minutes away with hiking and waterfalls. Well worth it. We went kayaking at Montour……

“The house was beautifully kept and clean. It was well supplied with everything we needed. The one thing that was a bit of a suprise was the no Wifi/ phone service at the house and throughout the area. A little unnerving in that if we had an emergency and/or of family need to reach us. Once we got over the intial surprise then we were able to appreciate the time to unwind, seperate from the social media and decompress. Spend real quality time with the family. ”

“The house was better than we expected. I thought it was a house just off the road but wasn't expecting it to be 1.4 miles into the woods. But that was the BEST part for us as a family. We love the woods and the adventures of the back country roads vs. normal roads. Now for the house, it was very comfortable and welcoming. Had everything we needed besides food. We enjoyed the back deck every morning for coffee just listening to nature. Nice family cookouts for dinner and campfires in the……
