Based on the history of the hotel, the prestigious reputation it has, and the over $300 price tag, I figured that it would be seriously amazing. I only stayed for one night, because it was a business stay, but the room was just ok (one very lovely, but lonely, tiffany style lamp supplied the light for the entire room) and the "spa/gym" was below par. As I left for my business engagement at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, there was only coffee in the common area, not even breakfast 'bites'. And I was hit with and additional $24 "resort charge" upon checking out. Since I simply slept there, I felt that that was absurd. But the carpets in the halls are lovely, and the Arts and Crafts lights and wallpaper are as well. Just not worth the expense.
