"After a rocky start with management re cleanliness of cottage, I settled into a very comfy stay here for about 3mos. The light is great, lots of windows. There are a few annoyances, but I grew to overlook them and enjoy what the cottage has to offerā€¦definitely privacy and quiet. Thereā€™s a lovely park within blocks. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! Iā€™ll miss it! "

"We had an excellent 2 night stay in this cute little cottage. We came up for a Friday afternoon wedding and were able to check in a little early to freshen up and change beforehand. Thank goodness, because it was pouring down rain! Margaret quickly responded to our questions and gave a great winery recommendation. The house was exactly as pictured, and the location was perfect. Would definitely stay again, especially since we joined 2 wine clubs while we were up there!"

"Furniture and beds were comfy. The house offered everything we possibly couldā€™ve needed for our stay including some toys for our three-year-old. Relatively quiet if youā€™re inside, but close to the freeway so there is noise. We didnā€™t walk to anything in the neighborhood, but drove a couple miles toward the ocean where there were many wonderful coffee shops, icee cream, restaurants and things to see and do. Overall, a nice home to spend the night."

"We loved staying here! Everything was excellent quality. The views were breathtaking! The beds were very comfortable. Cindy was great at communicating and gave a great breakfast recommendation. Loved the extra touches of fresh fruit, snacks and good coffee!! Would for sure stay here again!! The property has a great trail to walk through the grove and great patio to enjoy sitting outside. "

"The Buena Creek Refuge is indeed a beautiful refuge. We felt relaxed the moment we popped out of the cars. Nine of us spent 6 nights celebrating our 50th anniversary and visiting the area attractions. It was wonderful to have the Refuge to come home to rather than some hotel.
