My stay at this hotel was extremely unsettling. Two male maintenance workers walked into my room just before I was about to shower, and the general manager's response was dismissive and blamed me for the situation.
You don’t need a key to access common areas like hallways and stairs once you’re in the garage. When I mentioned this to staff, they admitted they’d raised this concern multiple times, but the GM ignored them. It felt unsafe knowing anyone could access guest areas.
While alone in my room, two men knocked, asking to inspect the smoke detector. I was nervous and asked them to come back when my boyfriend was present. However, about an hour later, while I was in the bathroom with the water running, they entered without waiting for a response or confirming I was ready. If it had been seconds later, they would have seen me completely naked. This incident has been replaying in my head since. The front desk was shocked and said this was not proper procedure—they should have coordinated a specific time.
I requested a refund and was directed to the GM, Daniel, who gaslit me, saying that since I agreed to an inspection later, they had the right to enter, even if I was showering. He refused a refund, stating we stayed the full time, though we requested to leave early and were told only the GM could approve refunds—and he was away the entire time and only addressing the situation days after it happened.
Don’t support this GMs business and stay safe.
