I wanted to share my recent experience at Hyatt Vacation club at hacienda Del Mar, Dorado, where I stayed from January 16th to January 19th Unfortunately, there were a few issues during my visit that I believe should be addressed. Firstly, the electricity went out for almost half of the day, which affected several services. We had to charge our phones in the lobby, which, as you can imagine, was inconvenient for all guests. This seems to be an ongoing issue and should either be resolved or communicated to guests ahead of time.
Additionally, the quality of food was disappointing. We had breakfast at the hotel, and unfortunately, my sister found a hair in her sandwich, which was not the best way to start the day. The overall quality of the food did not meet expectations, especially considering the price. I particularly appreciated the amazing view of the beach—the waves were huge and the sight was spectacular. However, I did notice a couple of things that I think could be improved. First, while the beach view was incredible, I observed a sign that mentioned "swim at your own risk," and I couldn’t help but feel that the lack of a lifeguard on duty made the beach a bit more concerning, especially with the strong waves. It would be great to see some kind of safety measures in place. Additionally, there were quite a few crows flying around the hotel area, which was a bit off-putting.
Given these concerns,I would not recommend this hotel to others.
