“I had a class in Anna, Tx about 5 minutes from Van Alstyne and found this listing. It was reasonably priced and after some research the town looked quite charming. I invited my girlfriend to come with me and she accepted. This is a charming little cottage with an open floor plan. It has a very comfortable bed, living area with futon, dining/kitchen area with an oven/range, microwave, full size refrigerator and even a Keurig with lots of coffee. “My family stayed at this house to attend a wedding nearby. The location was serene. The property itself is poorly maintained, with trash and tools strewn about the yard. The horses in adjacent pasture showed physical signs of neglect (one had a festering wound behind the ear, from a bridle that was ill fitted, put on wrong, and clearly left on the animal for far too long). The house itself was nice enough, and clean enough, but by no means spotless. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen……

“Roger is a kind and responsive host. House has large master BR and good floor plan. Owner lives here part-time, so there are a lot of personal items. Cleaning and maintenance are "ok", but not "white-glove" level, as many other VRBO homes are.”
