Beautiful property on the Uroa Eastern Coast.
This resort has so much potential as it lies in a comfortable setting with beautiful, picture es sandy beaches and warm water. You want piece and quiet, this is the place. If you want hustle and bustle prepare to drive 1 hour to the north, south or back to Stone-town on the west.
The term bungalow is a little misleading however. The suites are not really bungalows, but four suite condos or townhouses. Two suites on the lower level and two suites above with separate entrances for all. Ours was very nice and very comfortable with traditional decor inside.
The food selections were okay, in my opinion, 7/10 in terms of freshness, variety and cost. The lack of alcohol however, puts a damper on the potential of this property. A swim up bar that looks absolutely amazing is not used at all because of this. The neighbouring resorts that do serve alcohol are totally benefiting immensely because residents from the Sunny Palms are spending their vacation money on drinks there and also having dinner or lunch there as well. To me this is a marketing flaw.
Still, a great place to rest and relax after you hiked Kilimanjaro.
