On my way home from Vegas, I decided to take a detour and visit Joshua Tree. I was happy to know that there was a Holiday Inn Express just miles from the North entrance to Joshua Tree.
I arrived around 2:00 pm and the gentleman (I think his name is Brian) checked me in a bit early to my surprise and delight. He was very kind, helpful and efficient.
My room was spacious, clean and well lit. It wasn’t a fancy room but had just the right amount of furniture and had a view of the hills in the back.
My favorite part about Holiday Inn Express is the hot breakfast they serve which is included in your stay. There were eggs, sausages, biscuits n gravy with a variety of other breakfast choices like cereal, fruit and pancakes. There was muffins, toast, juice and milk as well. The one thing missing were the hot cinnamon rolls which I was soooo looking forward to. Not sure why there weren’t any cinnamon rolls but the guy in the kitchen didn’t seem all too friendly so I didn’t ask. Also, if this breakfast doesn’t suit ya, I saw lots of other eateries close by.
Other amenities include a small pool and hot tub. If it weren’t the dead of winter, I probably would have taken advantage of their hot tub and small pool but it was too cold. There is also a small workout room as well. Finally, coffee was served all day-bonus.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Next time I go to Joshua Tree, I will most definitely stay again-hopefully the cinnamon rolls will be back by then. :)
