The hosts thought of EVERYTHING, the house is so well equipped and has literally everything you could possibly need. Hosts were fabulous and so responsive and even included a welcome basket with wine, treats and bread and milk. We couldn't believe how cheap it was for the location, amenities and house in general. We will 100% be back”

“We did not stay. The room was upstairs and we had to go through a really trashy yard to get to it. It was cold and the heaters didn’t work, smelt like mildew and the bathroom was a disaster! We let and found appropriate accommodations! I can’t believe they would consider renting the place! We had to travel down a one way road to get to the place and the gate was closed. The neighbor sent us another way and the grounds were beautiful but the place was totally trashed. There was nobody there to……

“Beautiful property. The hosts literally have thought of everything you need for a perfect stay. Such a generous and very much appreciated welcome pack, especially as we arrived fairly late. Great communication from the host. Only a short drive from beautiful Lincoln. Although we stayed in the grounds of the host’s home it still felt incredibly private. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Very dog friendly. We would love to visit again. Thank you for everything Andy.”

“It is a tiny, but wonderful, cottage. It is so homely and ‘liveable’ and the owner, Katie, has obviously tried to provide everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Even the beds are comfy! It is beautifully clean and well presented; my adult daughter said she would like to live there herself. The main street with a Co-op store, a good selection of eateries and a friendly pub is just a short walk from the door, with the Sherwood Forest craft and visitor centres just a couple of……

“We stayed in the Lavender Cottage for two nights on a weekend away. The cottage is situated at a short distance from the Southwell Minster and village shops. Southwell itself is quite a compact and cute little village. The cottage is really well presented, clean and well equipped. The host, Rebecca, left us a hamper with bread, juice, milk etc. Everything was very clean and tidy. We had two cozy nights in there and the log fire was a great addition to the lovely relaxing feel the cottage has.……

“stayed 6 nights & had no issues. Wendy excellent at being there for any questions - but not at all intrusive. pleasant mile walk into Lincoln & a beautiful park 10 min walk down the road, so could leave the car safely parked at property. Local pub 15mins walk, harvester type. Would stay again.”

“A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.”
