The owner, Lorenzo and his family were very welcoming. We were very fortunate to be able to go on a hike on the property with Lorenzo, who was a wealth of knowledge on the history of Tuscania and its people. Throughout the hike, we were able to see, climb into caves and learn of the ancient Etruscan civilization and the Necropolis that lies beneath the present day agricultural areas. We not only had a beautiful suite to rest in for a couple of days, an on-site chef who fixed magnificent dinners with locally grown meat and produce, but we received a wonderful lesson in archeology and history!
