“We were there 6 nights & it is by far the BEST guest house we’ve ever experienced. The house is the perfect mix of being historic but also updated, so it feels fresh. Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. As was the beautiful high quality……

“We checked into the Fishers Hotel on 29/6/26 for 2nts and booked B&B. When we arrived the lady on reception was polite and offered us a comp drink on arrival. We were allocated room 220 which is a King room. There was lots of maintenance issues. * Wall paper was peeling away from the walls. Very noticeable. * The chandelier wasn't completely attached to the ceiling. Wires, elements were showing. * Bathroom glass shelf very wobbly. Was too afraid to even place our toothbrushes on it. * Toilet……

“What a fantastic place. Comfy bed, fantastic shower and a nice big tv. Plenty tea, coffee, biscs and bottles of water in the room. Added bonus, the breakfast room is set up with same level of refreshments, all day, much appreciated after a walk up from the town in the evening. It said in the write up with Expedia that only a continental breakfast is included, this is not the case, a cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would have……
