“We were there 6 nights & it is by far the BEST guest house we’ve ever experienced. The house is the perfect mix of being historic but also updated, so it feels fresh. Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. As was the beautiful high quality……

“Die Auffahrt und das gesamte Anwesen wirken auf den ersten Blick sehr imposant und hochwertig. Leider trügt der erste Eindruck etwas, denn bei genauerem Hinsehen entspricht das Erlebnis nicht ganz den Erwartungen, die das Erscheinungsbild weckt. Unser Zimmer war hingegen schön eingerichtet und sauber. Allerdings wurden gegen Mitternacht die Außenstrahler des Gebäudes eingeschaltet, die direkt in unser Zimmer leuchteten. Da die Vorhänge nicht bis zur Decke reichten, drang viel Licht ins Zimmer……

“What a fantastic place. Comfy bed, fantastic shower and a nice big tv. Plenty tea, coffee, biscs and bottles of water in the room. Added bonus, the breakfast room is set up with same level of refreshments, all day, much appreciated after a walk up from the town in the evening. It said in the write up with Expedia that only a continental breakfast is included, this is not the case, a cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
