"The hosts communication was great- she was incredibly helpful in guiding us in Croatia and sharing the bus schedules. We booked this as a budget stay and definitely wish we stayed closer to the water / closer to more dining / beach options. Re-using towels/beach towels for 4 days started to get bothersome. "Lovely property with fabulous views. Facilities at the Sheraton were available at an extra charge but the outdoor pool was worth it - plenty of sunbeds and space. The only downside for the property was the WiFi, which kept dropping off."

"The only challenge is that the apartment is at the top of two flights of narrow, steep stairs, and there's another flight up from the bedroom to the living area. If that's not a problem then everything else is great. There's a balcony (view of the building opposite, but you're in the Old City!). The double glazing effectively blocks noise, the aircon works. Because you're in the Old City everything is just there .. loved it. "

Get dropped off at the entrance at Pile Gate and it’s a 5 minute walk (no stairs!!!) Andrea, our wonderful host, couldn’t be more accommodating. So easy going and very kind. She helped us adjust our itinerary due to bad weather. The apartment - is so comfy and beautiful. We had the suite with 2 beds and sofa, kitchen… everything was perfect! ...

"Breakfast was awesome, lots of variety. Spa was a great experience. Hotel is looking a bit dated despite renovations. Customer service could improve during breakfast. I would routinely see a waiter pick up one plate from one table at a time instead of multiple. And quite a few dirty tables that were not cleaned for guests. Had to flag down waiters for drinks. More smiles would be nicer! "

Great stay close to old town

"Really nice stay here. Received a welcome message prior to our stay which was a nice touch. Reception staff friendly on arrival. Good location about 15 minutes walk from the city walls and old town, and 20 minutes to the marina. Rooms spacious and comfy with (very) big bed, although a little dated. Acceptably equipped bathroom (although the step in to the bath/shower could be challenging for some). The hotel bar gets busy in the evening with locals as well as hotel guests as the food is great in there. The breakfast room gets busy in the mornings but always managed to get a table. The food in the breakfast room is acceptable, but not great. "

"Lovely hotel. Extremely polite staff. Beautiful spa facilities. Breakfast was a good selection and of good quality. We had room service as a late flight in and the steak sandwich was the best I'd eaten! Hotel absolutely spotless. Couldn't find fault with anything, wouldn't hesitate to return to the hotel and this area, nice strolls along the beach/sea. Quiet location with a few eateries and supermarket."
