Stay, relax and explore at Twenty Odd Base Camp in Trout Creek, Montana. With over 90 private acres at the edge of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, you'll find yourself surrounded by natural beauty and an array of wildlife only Montana can provide. Ursa Cabin is a cozy yet spacious dwelling nestled amongst fir, pine and aspen trees making it an ideal base camp for your Montana adventure.
"Ursa" (Latin for bear) is one of two cabins available to rent on the property. (Check out “Wapiti” Cabin #1940312) The cabin was completed in the spring of 2017, and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom has a Queen bed and one bedroom has two twin beds, accommodating 4 adults comfortably. Guests will enjoy the comfortable living area and beautiful kitchen with granite countertops, complete with all the appliances and utensils needed to prepare a meal. Cold, clean tap water comes from a private well and is excellent for drinking. The covered deck area includes a propane BBQ, table and chairs and stunning views of the surrounding forest and Twenty Odd Peak. A short trail through the ferns and trees arrives at a private fire pit stocked with firewood and roasting sticks for s'mores.
Roll out of bed and hike from your front door up Twenty Odd Peak Trail, accessing some of the most "wild" mountains left in the lower 48. Even just a 30 minute stroll up the trail provides breathtaking views of the Clark Fork Valley. If a little "R&R" is what you're craving, kick back with a book and/or a cold beverage and breathe in nature from your own covered deck. On a clear night, the stargazing is second to none with the absence of natural light from the city.
Just a 5 minute drive down the road you'll find TOBC's lakeshore property. A private dock and gazebo are available exclusively for our guests to enjoy. Bring your own kayaks or rent them in town- Noxon Reservoir is a paddler’s paradise! Don't forget your fishing gear as Noxon Reservoir is known for excellent bass and Pike fishing and holds a number of other species including trout and walleye.
A scenic 4-mile drive down the road is the quaint recreational town of Trout Creek, nestled on the banks of beautiful Noxon reservoir. There are several good restaurants and lounges as well as a grocery store, gift shops, Laundromat and ATM. Hoping to escape the crowds and traffic of the city?... they boast of not having one traffic light in all of Sanders County. Come and immerse yourself in nature and refresh your soul.
