“We came to this property after a week in DC and a few days on the Eastern Shore. Place was amazing and restful. We picked this place since it was close to President Monroe’s house; MountPelier (sp) - Dolley and James Madison’s plantation. We wander the countryside so beautiful. “The property is located in a very beautiful and secluded part of Virginia. All cabins are nestled within the trees and our unit had a lovely tree shaded deck. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner outside in complete comfort thanks to the trees (this also made it very private). The cabin was nicely designed and the kitchen was clean and very functional. This is a wonderful place for a getaway. The pools were very clean and well maintained. Check in was fast and easy. The concierge……

“The property is very nice. I loved the sunken hot tub which meant it was easy to get in and out. It’s on the screened porch which I bet will be very helpful when bug season is here. My 6’2” husband was concerned about the sloping ceiling in the bedroom but no skulls were bonked. The kitchen is a little tight for more than one person but all the necessary equipment was available. The hosts were very communicative. We look forward to booking again.”

“The property needed a cleaning on the inside… cobwebs and overall dust. It seemed that no one had stayed in a while and was left as is. We had to ask the owner for washcloths because they were not provided with towels. WiFi was working half the time and was Roku so limited to watch anything. We will not stay here again but it could be a sweet place if adjusted.”

Before we even got there, the host reached out and communicated with me to make sure I had all the information I needed to ensure a smooth check in. He even went out of his way to get me the info because my email wasn't working. When we got there, everything was clean, neat, and tidy. The cabin had most of what we needed, including kitchen items, which was a big plus, and the beds were pretty……
