We stayed in one of the "hotel rooms" rather than a cabin. Guests should know it is a 3 story antique hotel - stairs only to 2nd and 3rd floor guestrooms. Our room was ample in size and the bed and linens were very comfortable. Each floor shares 2 bathrooms (6-7 rooms per floor) which at first felt awkward, but since there was no-one else on our floor was no biggie. We had not lodged this style before and felt uncertain about what spaces we could use. There is a terriffic play area for children, Our grandsons loved playing on the pirate ship and the swings. and of course in the water. There were paddle boards, and kayaks for use as well as fishing gear, shuffle board, fooseball, billiards and other such games and toys for inside and outside. The staff was friendly and If we were there longer, I am sure we would have figured out how to get glassware for our evening wine, sneak into the kitchen to bake some cookies or? Overall I recommend but be prepared for something a little different than your average hotel experience. More like staying in a home.
