They used a lot of medicine to clean the room, but it smelled like disinfectant... it's cheaper than the surroundings, I couldn't fall asleep because there were ants and insects in the bathroom.

When booking this space highly consider the reviews on Expedia and other platforms. I am someone that does my research. I knew this hotel wasn’t a 4 star and above but it was close to a 4 according to Expedia. I booked their more cost effective room which wasn’t cheap overall but in comparison to other places in the area, it was reasonable. When I arrived I was told the type of room I booked was on the basement level and there’s no elevator so future guest please note that. The issue I had with the room was the amount of spiders. I asked for a broom to remove them and cut my hand in the process. Then more appeared and I asked to be moved. The second room had ants in the bathroom so I didn’t accept that room. They then offered me a third room and I didn’t see any visible bugs there. I would have chosen to leave the hotel altogether but with it being last minute and a one night stay I had to deal with it. It was a horrible night of sleep as I freaked out thinking there could be other bugs. This room I should say also had poor upkeep. Things in this hotel need to be fixed up. For the cost there shouldn’t be obvious wear and tear; shower with build up, tissue and towel rack hanging loose, things falling apart, and foul smells. Though the staff were pleasant and tried to accommodate by moving me room to room this is a bigger issue they need to fix overall. It shouldn’t take 3 rooms and even the third not being great.

Small incomplete rooms with paper thin walls. Can hear every other room. Hard bed. Did not sleep well. Restrictive rules. Staff was pleasant but didn’t make up for the lousy property. Would not stay here again.

Pembroke Inn is a nice place to stay. The rooms are small, but provide everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are well taken care of and the staff are helpful and friendly. I would recommend staying here because of everything mentioned above, as well as great a very convenient location to access a ton of fun attractions and dining.

The room was great, service was quick. About the surrounding property though...I Had to call the cops cause a girl got robbed and nobody would help her despite running infront of traffic to get help. ( honestly it sounded alot worse than just getting robbed ) Very unsettling, so i would consider taking a break from your cigarettes for the night if your staying here, or atleast dont think your going to have a relaxing cigarette. City people might think of this as just another day, I dont ever want to hear that again.

Eclectic and cozy. Location was good for walking around but need to be cautious in some areas. Room was a little small but acceptable. Window A/C unit was very loud but worked. Renovated bathroom was very nice. Would stay again for the price!

A great budget option for Toronto! Most hotels near the downtown core run $350 PLUS per night, if you just need a place to crash this is perfect. The room was smallish but clean, bathroom was great. If you value sleep, you can hear quite literally everything here so it may not be for you. If you are from a small town and are afraid of homeless people this place might also not be for you as it’s right beside a park with a large encampment. The staff were very friendly, the little courtyard out front is lovely, overall it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back and recommend this hotel to friends.

In total it was acceptable but for the money I spent there, I expected a bigger room at least. The room was too small, the bathroom door didn't closed or even locked, there was pay parking in the property which was more expensive than off street! They provided low quality coffee. No sleeper for the room. It was not cheap at all, so for a ground level small room I guess it shouldn be more offers.

The staff at Pembroke Inn were amazing. They were there every step of the way to provide any assistance and were so courteous and kind. The property was clean and provided simple lodging with a comfortable bed and handy options for lightning and even had a mirror that had Bluetooth and lite up to apply make up. I really enjoyed the short stay we had there and it was affordable. The only downfall was the area where the Inn is located in terms of evening travel on foot to explore, however it had ample transportation options with buses located everywhere near by. Thanks to the great staff at Pembroke Inn that made our stay that much better and provided almost a sense of being at home during August 30th and 31st 2024.
