As many Toronto hotels were exorbitant during the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, we were looking for a non airport alternative. There were pros and cons. The pros were that it was not too far from downtown Toronto, it was clean, AC/ heating worked well, we received a free upgrade to a king size bed, people were so friendly, there was a Starbucks literally 2 minute walk and it has an Amazing vintage Elevator!
We arrived 9 PM on a Friday night only to be told that the bar was closed and the other restaurant was closed for a private event. There was no closet in the rooms. Definitely DO NOT have a room facing Queen Street. It was loud throughout the night and both nights AND the steetcars run less than 30 feet from the front of the Hotel all night. The shower has an open glass 1/2 divide and thus the towel you place next to it will be totally saturated with water.
It was a quaint boutique hotel with pool table on the 3rd floor. People really are nice. However, due to the noise and street car, sleeping quality was very poor.
In summary, good choice but never sleep in room facing Queen Street !!
