What we enjoyed about the property it was lose to the event we went too. The only problem we found after checking out and went to the parking lot where we were told to on Miniwan Miikaan Lane. when checked out and went to my vehicle I got a ticket on my windshield. I took the ticket back to the hotel and I was happy that the front desk said they would take care of it.

We stayed at the Gladstone House and even before we left we booked our next stay. Parking is underground and very close to the hotel; parking isn't suitable for larger, lifted trucks. The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. We ate breakfast in the bistro/bar and we were blown away of the options and how delicious the food was. Check in and out was easy. This hotel is very hip and trendy. Overall a fantastic stay.

For cost per night, the room was incredibly sparse and consistently lacking hot water in the shower. Also, who thought putting a pool table outside of a guest room was a good idea? Additionally, we received not one but two parking tickets in the garage we paid to park in. The upsides would be the very attentive check in staff and the location.

Its a little further out from the city center than anticipated but the long walks necessary to get downtown, to the AGO, and Kensington Market are full of interest and while transportation is to the front door walking is recommended. The hotel is very old and the elevator, while quite a work of art, is not really fully available as you have to wait for an employee to help. It can be a long climb if you are tired. The staff are top notch and the amenities such as an espresso bar and a billiard room are pretty interesting. Special mention to Carol who went well beyond expectations to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely would stay here again.

We chose to stay at the Gladstone for it's rich history and its passion for showcasing the arts. Though the hotel is beautiful, the room itself was very small with the sink for the bathroom in the room. We were located on the second floor, which I was originally not pleased about, but when we realized we had to call the bell hop to use the elevator, we were glad to be able to easily walk up the stairs. With that said, the elevator is really cool with original gold framing, adding to the flair of the Gladstone. The hotel was recently renovated but there was evidence of wear-and-tear on the walls, counters, around the mirror. We did get treated with a bottle of wine congratulating us on our wedding, which was a nice touch. It's a beautiful place to stay for a night but anything beyond that would be challenging.

There was a disgusting ball of hair in my shower. I had to call twice before it was cleaned. When I checked into a second room, I found hair in bathroom floors. Need to do better job of cleaning. Treadmill was broken. Rooms are WAY too small. But friendly staff.

Great location, easy to take transit. The room was pretty minimal for an upgraded king suite but did the job! The hairdryer was broken, and I found the bedding very thin for this time of year (February). But those are small complaints for the otherwise gorgeous and unique hotel. Still really enjoyed our stay and would go back again :)
