This was the fourth time we stayed at this hotel. You cannot beat the pool and access to the ocean, but obviously the current management is not competent. The maintenance and service is not good and has really deteriorated from 3 yrs ago. I would rate this a 4 star 3 years ago, and maybe a 2-3 star now. With the exception of the excellent manager of the restaurant, Alberto, the staff has no idea what service is. For example, our reservation said our room included a microwave. It did not have one. We brought this to the front desk and she basically said 'prove it'. We brought her the expedia website on our tablet and she said to email her the link. We said this is "Expedia".....Just go to Expedia.com. She said she couldn't do that. Also on our last day, a generator kicked in at 4AM that was so loud right outside our door. We looked around for anyone to help us at 430 am and no one could be found, even the guard. We mentioned it to the front desk at checkout and asked about what they would do. He said he heard about it and that it was at 630 am and he couldn't do anything about it. no apology, no acknowledgement, and he didn't believe us that it started at 4am. In terms of maintenance, the employees are really clueless. The condition of the rooms and hotel overall is deteriorating and they are not keeping up. The room had numerous issues. It was funny to watch the maintenance guys spend hours watering the dirt that used to be grass.
