"We were very happy with our stay here! Lou the property manager was very helpful when we had a mishap with our car and needed some help as well! The home is very cosy, kitchen was well equipped, even with coffee and cold beers in the fridge when we arrived. One thing that would elevate this place would be to add some furniture and a hammock or something to the very top balcony. But otherwise we loved it!. Especially as we were travelling with two toddlers, so it gave us a place to feel at home."

"We loved staying at this property. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have a car so they helped us get taxis as needed. We very much enjoyed the cooking class and the private chef’s dinner while there. You can easily walk to the beach from the property if you don’t mind a little hill. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the Pacific. We were fortunate to see quite a bit of whale activity while relaxing in the pool area. One last bonus was the interactions with the resident pets....

"This is the nicest vacation rental we've visited.The inside is spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor area is beautifully landscaped, and has a private pool, fire pit, and dining area. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and Lola the resident dog was such a joy to have around since we were all missing our pets. It's within walking distance of local restaurants and a bakery/coffee shop, and there's a grocery store right across the street. This place was a real gem!"

"I really debated writing a review because I don't want to bring down the ratings average and we did have many positive experiences, however, I felt that parents should be warned that this really isn't a great choice for young kids. We were booked to stay for a week at the beginning of April and the confirmation process, communication with Kay was a breeze. We had communicated with Kyle upon arrival to get the fridge stocked and he was wonderful! The views at the house are spectacular, too....

"Fantastic casita steps from a beautiful beach (one house away). It's a great place to hang inside and out, close to the beach and a short, easy drive to town. The water was too treacherous to swim in, but the whales loved it. There are so many whales so close—often 10-20 feet from the surf. Bottled water is provided, and a well-appointed house with the best showers. It's as magical as it looks. Our first choice next time we visit. Thanks, Andrea/Aaron."

"Casa Mapache was absolutely wonderful. Communication with the property managers, Denisse and Bruno, was very easy and they responded promptly with any questions we had. The beach club is just a short drive and is beautiful and worth visiting. Unfortunately when we were there a drunk Mexican guy accosted us and tried to pick a fight with me.
