Check-in was easy and convenient, despite the fact that there was no staff on site. I especially appreciated that the text message with the details was sent early in the day, so I was clear about what to expect.
The Cozy Queen room was comfortable, although I did not see any indication in the description on Expedia that it had no windows, so this was an unpleasant surprise. The lamp was not bright enough to read by, so I was forced to use the too bright overhead light. The separate private bathroom was lovely and had excellent amenities. It was nice that slippers and bathrobes were provided, so I didn't mind having to go down the hall to use the facilities.
It was a good thing that earplugs were also provided and that I can sleep through anything, for two reasons. The walls are very thin, and I could hear everything going on in the lobby, including very noisy fellow guests talking loudly and making coffee at 6am. And the Rusty Chicken Saloon next door had very loud music playing until closing time. It sounded so clear that it might as well have been in the next room.
The complimentary coffee and pastries were tasty and good quality. But I would have appreciated plain creamer in addition to French vanilla flavor.
The upstairs lounge space and balcony were a very nice bonus, especially as my room had no windows. It was pleasant to get a drink from the attached bar and enjoy it seated outside. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating.
I enjoyed the eclectic style.
