Shockingly rude reception, had a sick child with me when trying to check in, took nearly 20 minutes while receptionist chatted to colleagues, dealt with other guests, while supposedly trying to find my details. To make matters worse I’d had to pay for the night before arrival anyways, and had emailed them to ask that since this was the case that my room be ready for check in from that morning. (Due to a flight change, had to stay an extra night as hotel said they couldn’t amend the booking 2 months before arrival as made with hotels.com.)
Couldn’t find email and was more concerned with my sick daughter, receptionist kept asking for the email when he could have just searched his mail for it.
Daughter was so sick that when we eventually got checked in and to our room, she vomited. Had pointed out to receptionist that she was sick, but he couldn’t have behaved worse.
Found the email and came back the next day to show it to him, and he doubled down on his rudeness and started arguing.
Have never experienced such bad behaviour in any hotel I’ve stayed in, needless to say I won’t be returning or staying in any of the THB hotels.
