“Really enjoyed the stay here. Beautiful period property in the perfect location. Staff were all super friendly and warm. Our dinners at Helena’s were a particular treat. The room had an old-fashioned, but quaint and charming aesthetic that perfectly matched the vibe of the hotel. My one complaint would be the WiFi; which was super unreliable for the duration of our stay. It would regularly drop out for extended periods and when it did work; was very slow. “Having stayed here in the past we were familiar with this beautiful property, its picturesque location and range of amenities so we chose to stay here again. Unfortunately there was no hot water when we tried to shower before bed and due to the location of the geyser (in the upstairs unit) it couldn’t be sorted until the morning. We were offered a room in the main hotel, but as it was late and we’d unpacked all our luggage so we opted to have a cold shower instead. The hotel graciously comped……

“We stayed at Mont Rochelle for the second stop of our honeymoon. We had previously come from Cape Town, and it was an easy one hour ish drive/Uber into Franschhoek. This place is absolutely gorgeous!!! We came during the winter months and the sunset over the vineyards and mountains were stunning. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The customer service here was top of the line. We were checked in by Peter and he helped us map our the activities and transportation required……

“The parking lot is relatively small and we were only able to park outside the main entrance for our stay! Our room has renovated, they were neat n clean ! Good breakfast too!”

“Spacious and very comfortable rooms in a delightful property. Excellent staff, if a little too formal / deferential at times. Only thing I can score it down for is attention to detail on housekeeping -teapot and cup not cleaned away one day. Stairs and hall carpet needs a vacuum. Would recommend especially for the tranquility. ”

“We booked last minute and as the price was lower than other options was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Very spacious loft apartment with a great bed and lovely bathroom. As we were there only 1 night didn't use the well appointed kitchen. Sofa was comfortable and it was close to the center of town. Great bakery next door as well as the supermarket across the street. I would definitely stay there again.”
