“We stayed in Room 8 for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was made to order by the chef and was absolutely delicious. The dinners were magnificent – and the Sunday roast was one of the best we've ever had! Everything was made from scratch, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a choice of pork, beef, lamb, or chicken (or even a mix of meats!). “Lovely stay with an excellent welcome from very attentive hotel and restaurant staff. Room and bathroom was a bit smaller than I expected, and could do with a bit more modernising, TV was very small and floors quite uneven and creaky. But that kind of added to the atmosphere of an ancient gatehouse. Next time I would request a room with a view of the cathedral as I think these must be more spacious. ”

“Attic room, was nice, however not so great if you are tall. Even at 5ft 8, and partner 6ft 3 spent alot of time bent over avoiding hitting our heads. Bath was spectacular! Room was warm, and restrictors on the windows, so unable to get any air flow. Bed very comfy! Cafetiere and Illy coffee was a lovely touch Was a bit disappointed breakfast was included, but had to.pay extra £4 each for a full english. Food was good though. Staff super lovely.”

“We booked an overnight stay as having a girls weekend in Bath. I chose this hotel for the location, value and from previous reviews. Firstly the staff were all very warm, welcoming and professional. The hotel is a stones throw walking distance to the local bus stops ( bus goes straight through to Bath £3 pp each way) our bedroom was let's say a little dated as such and needed a little TLC but it was clean and tidy, basic necessities in place and spacious for a twin.
