A mixed bag: the room was very clean, the shower was good and the bed comfortable. However, the windows were single glazed and the heaters took quite a while to heat the room (as we were staying in December, this was quite noticeable). As a customer, I’d much prefer you leave out the posh bathroom bits and get thicker windows.
The main issue: we got the impression our booking was a mistake. We had a call earlier in the day acknowledging our booking but when we arrived the entire place was dark & locked. It took about 5 phone calls and 30 minutes to find out we were meant to have a code for the door. We got this code through somebody’s personal phone. We were the only people on site, it was weird. On the morning of our check out, the fire alarm went off for some reason. As it was only us there, we had to call it in - another 30 minutes of hanging around outside. When the staff eventually came for the alarm, there was no apology or reassurance we could come back in. Overall it was the lack of service that ruined it unfortunately.
