This house was great and most importantly spacious enough for two young families with kids to share for a weekend. Although we didn't bring our dogs this time, it's great to know that's an option. And I do have to say that there was no evidence of former pet guests if that is of any concern to potential bookers- very clean, no stains, no smells.We have family in the area and have already talked about booking future stays now that we have young kids and need more space than staying with relatives tends to afford.

Blissful retreat

The home was wonderful, kudos to the owners for allowing us to move our stay after unfortunate circumstances kept us from our original booking dates. The place has plenty of space and comfortable appointments to make a wonderful time away for families or couples. We would love to book again and we thoroughly enjoyed the location, it is a great spot!

Cozy and Homey

Everything was very detailed, woodsy and cozy. Open floor plan and plenty of room. I wish we had more time to spend there as we were in for a wedding. We would love to come back. They have everything you would pretty much need. A nice private get away.

Nice house away in Swanton area.

The house was really nice. Similar to other reviews, the house wasn’t properly cleaned prior to our visit. The furniture is very nice and everything is good as it looks in the pictures. Lots of space. Kitchen is well stocked. There’s a library if dvd/bluerays to browse.

Successful Bachelorette Party

The place was beautiful and so clean. The owners were easy to get in contact with and were very helpful. Only thing we didn’t realize was how far away things were from the house. Coming home from Honi Honi it was very foggy and scary to drive through. Having the 20+ minutes to drive back was rough. But overall we loved the house and it was perfect for the wonderful weekend we had!

Relaxing!

The cabin is very nice. It was big enoughfor my family. The grandchildren LOVED the game room and it wa hard to get them to go to bed! The reason I gave 4 stars is because the house is just abit too dark inside and there were minor cleaning issues on our arrival. Yes I would stay again. Just a smalll heads up as I didn't think about this...since the property is at a higher elevation it rained everyday that we were there. it kept putting our fire in the fire pit out. But that is a mothr nature issue!

Our Whistle and Quill Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Swanton Whistle and Quill Cabin. We had a great time. We were very impressed with the sporting based theme and high quality, thoughtful items located throughout the cabin. We would love to have a chance to use the Cabin again. It is obvious how much effort goes into the maintenance and upkeep of this property. FOR MANAGEMENT. In the spirit of helping to keep it up, I’m sharing these observations and suggestions. The Guest Information Book would be more helpful if it were located upstairs near the entrance rather than in the office. We swept with a broom many times but didn’t know there was a vacuum sweeper until we were loading to leave. Consider providing a list of things available for use like pots, blankets, vacuum, etc. The tracks of sliding doors inside and out need cleaned. There were lots of bugs inside the lower level and on the porches. A treatment program would be helpful. The seat cushions on the outside furniture were soaked from rain. A suggestion would be to clean and dry them and put them in clear garbage bags to use when needed. A thoughtfully located dog cable is located at the corner of the house. We’ve used a telephone pole anchor bolt installed level with the ground surface to be a carefree, secure way to provide a dog cable anchor point.

Amazing Home

This was our first time using Vacasa and we were blown away. The home was absolutely stunning. The cabin was so peaceful and relaxing. The home had everything and anything you could possibly want or need. The decoration throughout the cabin were just perfect. We are already planning our next trip back.

House itself was nice, but there were definitely a few issues. AC upstairs only worked one night so it was often 80 degrees in the house. Was told the property manager was sending someone to fix the AC and nobody ever showed up.The grill wouldn’t light so we couldn’t use it. The back balcony was nice but there were many leaves and cobwebs. There were cobwebs over all of the outdoor furniture, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. There was no coffee pot for the coffee maker.

Ok but wouldn't go back

Place was just ok. Lots of bugs in many rooms. Very frugal on basics like trash bags and dishwasher pods. Layout was odd with master bath off of the kids room and not the main bathroom. No paper towel provided. With all the rentals in the area I'd go somewhere else next time.

Short Stay

The set up of the house was beautiful. The downside was the cleanliness. Originally walking in without looking at anything it appeared ok. I understand that there would be bugs, but there were many dead ones just lying around everywhere. The bathrooms were not very clean. The rugs in the bathrooms need to be washed. There was trash (smelly) in the kitchen can (full)! The downstairs bathroom shower tracks were nasty brown with dead bugs in it. I wore deep woods off and still was getting bit in the home. Our family checked in on Thursday evening and left on Saturday morning. I had booked it until Monday, but I couldn’t. It was too hot and the bugs were too much for me! I did reach out about the A/C not working and did receive a response on what to do (there was only one box fan).
