“Property was very nice and clean. Just 3 cabins on site so a small establishment. The owner/manger seemed nice. There were pastries etc for breakfast but we had bagels with us which we toasted in the toaster in the cabin and had with some nice hot coffee. The roon was mostly well appointed. The bed was a bit soft for us but others may like it. Best part is you can walk to the lighthouse which makes great sense during sunset times. ”

“The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. Although we brought an infant and a 2.5yo, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this property for such little/young kids unless you’re prepared for spotting them up and down the ladder. “We had a wonderful stay at the Poet's cabin. It is a nice little place for visiting the Acadia National Park area. It also has a very good sitting area outside and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming! The only issue is that the door opening to the bathroom is very low (I'm 6'2 and hit my head multiple times on the top of the door frame), and the shower is very small. The home is exactly as advertised and a great place to stay, but wanted any other "taller" people to be aware before booking.”

“Unit 9 was perfect for the 3 of us. The kitchen had enough of everything we needed to make breakfast. The living room was spacious and relaxing. The bedrooms are tight; one bed was firmer than the other. It was too rainy to use the nice deck and picnic table. Despite being located on Route 1 we were not at all bothered by highway noise. We would choose to stay here again.”

“Stayed here two nights with my husband and dogs. The property was private and quiet, just what we wanted. Our dogs loved walking the drive. We hiked Blue Hill Mountain and a local preserve. “We had a great stay at Tammy’s cottage and would happily return. We prefer staying in the Southwest/Bass harbor area when visiting Acadia to escape the crowds while still having great food only 5 minutes away like Archie’s Lobster. Our dog also had a great time and the cottage had all the basic cooking & grilling essentials so we cooked for most meals. Thank you Tammy so much for having us and being a great host. ”
