My stay at the Westin St. Thomas has been extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected of a Westin property.
From the moment we arrived, the experience has been unacceptable. Our room has a persistent musty odor and smells strongly of mold or mildew. This is not only unpleasant but raises serious health concerns. Given the premium rates we are paying, this alone is unacceptable and has made it difficult to feel comfortable in the room.
Service throughout the resort has been consistently slow, disorganized, and, at times, rude. One particularly frustrating example involved your advertised daily happy hour. We were told happy hour was available, only to be sent from one bar to another. At the first bar, we were informed they did not participate in happy hour at all. After being redirected, it ultimately took 38 minutes to receive just two drinks. The drinks were very watered down, and this should not be happening for the price point we’re paying. They also had no straws available. To make matters worse, we later learned that happy hour is not offered on Sundays, despite being advertised as a daily amenity. This lack of clarity, coordination, and respect for guests’ time is unacceptable.
The food quality throughout the resort has also been extremely poor. Meals have been consistently disappointing, poorly prepared, and not remotely reflective of a luxury resort experience. Save your money and pick another resort.
