I really wanted to like this hotel. I love old architecture and can forgive a lot when it comes to quirks of old hotels. And this one was in close to an event I was at in so it was convenient. I tired to call to see if I could get a slightly early check in and the phone number on every email I received and from google was incorrect. So I went there, the door was locked, no one would answer it. There was a sign to call a different hotel. I called them, they gave me another number to call that went to a voice mail that was full. I had to go to an event so decided to just try again later. Came back at night, tried calling several times later and finally got in touch with someone at the other hotel who had to radio someone to let us into our room. Saturday and Sunday nights we were not able to park at the hotel, all their lots were full, despite the fact that we paid $25 for parking each night. Also, although they cleaned our room every day and replaced the toiletries, they never replaced our toilet paper so we had to go and buy our own. With a bit more attention by the staff, this could be a really nice place to stay. It has charm, architectural appeal, and is in a great location. Super disappointing they don't seem to care enough to make that happen.
