Have stayed at Fermain Valley before, and was happy to return.
The hotel itself is nicely situated, very clean, comfortable rooms, and the staff are generally ok. However it is beyond ridiculous to pay for a "Gold" room, and for it not to have air conditioning. My stay was on one of the warmest weekends of the year, and was therefore very uncomfortable. The room had a balcony and windows, so why not just open them up? - well, the room was 8 feet above the outside restaurant, so obviously that was noisy - to the point of listening to conversations. Not helped by the constant music from the bar, and the bar staff seemingly constantly dragging furniture around trying to look busy didn't help.
On a more positive note, the beds and linens were super comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Nicely landscaped and easy parking.
