This property could be just what you are looking for, or not. In some ways it was great- the location was very convenient to downtown, the interior was decent and the price was much better than a hotel.
There were also things that might turn some people off. The property fits a category of minimum acceptable standards. There's nothing so bad that it's "terrible" but everything felt "barely good enough".
The kitchen was woefully lacking when it comes to making meals for 5 people. Exactly 5 of each placesetting, no bowls, kitchen towels or oven mits, hot pads, or serving/ mixing implements. Terrible, no. Just nothing like excellent.
The location is similar. While within easy walking distance from the arch and Busch stadium, the last block or two is poorly lit and not a place I'd walk alone at night.
The building interior has a grungey asthetic, a rickety elevator and a pretty complicated checkin process that may be a lot for a single person to manage. The unit's front door is pretty beat up and shades are falling off the back door. For us, these were not deal breakers, for you they might be.
Finally, we didn't have any issues with the host but also didn't require much.
So in summary- for seasoned travellers, used to being flexible this is a very affordable and well located option. For others, I suggest finding another option.
