For a Super 8 property, the property was one of the nicest I have ever seen and because they are typically lower end facilities I rarely ever stay at a Super 8 anymore. The property was located just ten minutes from the job and was right on the travel route.
The reservation i had was incorrect so i called the hotel to add one daybon the front end, 9/18 and extend it by five days to 10/23.
When i arrived, i was told i had to authorize the entire reservation in advance which i could not do so the staff made six reservations one week at a time. Which was satisfactory.
At the end of the first week, the called me on the job and told me i had to leave. That the room was reserved for an incomming guest and that i had to leave. I explained that i had a reservation for the next thirty days but they insisted i did not and that i had to leave. They wanted me to leave work and remove myself from the property. Finally, Simone say that I was the incoming guest and apoligized. The next week they raised my rate and repeated the same fiasco. I was able to get them to honor the initial rate but the following week, when i went to pay my bill, i asked for a copy of my folio. the desk clerk was abusive, yelling at me that she could not do that and for me to simply swipe my card. Her co-worker was shocked, as the clerk dropped "F-bombs" and said she quit and stormed out.
