“Our brief stay at the Sands Hotel was just what we were looking for in that part of Orkney. We wanted to see Skapa Flow, the Italian Chapel, and we discovered a fascinating private museum with fossil collection. The staff were helpful and welcoming and the room comfortable.”

“The hotel check in was quick and easy. No elevator though. The staff was excellent especially the two young men in the restaurant. They were excellent in every way. Book this hotel early they fill up quick with bus tours. There is a few restaurants nearby if you want a change but Brae Hotel dinner menu changes daily. They also worked with my wife's food allergy.”

“Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows.……
