"Myself and the little one arrived a little earlier than expected and were promptly greeted by the host, who was warm and welcoming. He kindly gave us a brief tour of the amenities before showing us to our room, which was immaculately clean. The continental breakfast was enjoyable, and overall we had a very pleasant stay. "We had a 4 night stay at the 2 bedroom Seaview Appartments. I can honestly say, it was one of the best stays we've had. The discription was exactly as stated: A Luxury Seaview Appartment with seaviews in every room! It was such a restful holiday, our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! All aspects of our stay from booking, checking in and checking out was pretty seamless and the owner, Ashley was great with keeping us informed at every step and very easygoing. The destination Carbis Bay itself was just lovely with one of the most stunning beaches we've seen in the UK. Very much deserving of its blue flag status. The near proximity of the property to the Carbis Bay train station was also an added bonus. It meant we could just leave the car and hop on the train to explore the nearby towns such as St. Ives and Hayle. All in all, the accommodation was first class, with everything absolutely spotless, in working order and very homely and comfortable. The little thoughtful touches like the welcome provisions of cornish goodies such as the cream tea, bottle of milk and even a bottle of wine was very much appreciated. The appartment also had quite a generous designated parking bay which was very unusual. We were particularly glad about this as we could park our SUV very comfortably with room to spare. We would stay again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this appartment to anyone especially those looking for a stress-free holiday. We look forward to visiting again "

"Right from check in to the entire stay, it was comfortable and hassle free. Location is perfect with beach just walking distance away from the resort. The property was clean with all devices and appliances in very good working condition. The living area of our suite was big and good enough for our little one to play. It was provided with basic food stuff and the fridge had juices,butter,cheese & milk so the immediate need was sorted. Domino and 4 in a row were also provided for kids to play - a thoughtful way of hospitality. We’d definitely book it again when we visit St Ives again. Definitely recommend it to families looking for a relaxing holiday with kids. "

"Disappointing Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility problems. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Evening meals were good but kept the same menu so quite repetitive. The English breakfast was inedible. Fried egg burnt on the bottom, raw on top. Sausage with a skin so tough it was difficult to cut, and the remainder of the items had spent too long under a heat lamp so they had dried out. Great views but the hotel needs some sorting out. "

"The setting was perfect, the description of a woodland retreat was spot on. We loved sitting gazing out at the squirrels playing in the trees and were lucky enough to have them come up to the door and peer in. After leaving out almonds for them we had daily visits.Seagulls Rest was beautifully styled, it felt welcoming and cosy. Thank.you to Tina who was so helpful with our enquiries.
