“The reception was very good and helpful, the restaurant food was amazing and the staff very attentive, the room however although looked good there was a large amount of cobwebs, in the bathroom area and a number of flys on and around the bath, the tiles had a large amount of water marks and the taps and shower had water marks and scale. The standard double was two beds put together so a very uncomfortable night sleep as well kept going down the dip in the middle”

“Stayed at the Ivy Bush many times, this time for a bargain price of £58 per couple (including breakfast). The rooms are a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The staff are attentive, even during a busy Xmas party weekend. The breakfast was plentiful and the car park was free. Will certainly be returning.”

“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

“Ideal location for town centre. Parking very limited but plenty of parking near by. Rooms were clean and tidy with everything you needed. Had to pre order breakfast including drinks when we got there which wasn’t a problem but found it odd that we even had to preorder the drinks! Our room was on top of the lounge are so could clearly hear the music, which again wasn’t a huge issue for us but might have been for some. Overall though, a lovely little B&B perfect for what we wanted. Would stay……

“Stayed here a few times in different rooms. This one was different again. Set up in a type of annex little cottage external at the side of the hotel. Didn’t know what to expect but pleasantly surprised. Lovey warm and spacious double room and on suite. Like a little one bed cottage. Road noise wasn’t too bad seeming the lane was close to the main road. Warm and secure all amenities there. Nice little hotel and always happy here. Breakfast had changed to between 0730-0830. Very short time frame.……

“This was our second stay and reminded us why we loved it the first time. The house is comfortable, the room spacious and the decor tasteful. We slept well on a comfortable bed and all the usuals in terms of tea and coffee were there along with a nice sized fridge if you wanted to put the champagne on ice. Newcastle Emlyn is a lovely little town.
The real key to why this is such a great place to stay are the wonderful hosts. Tony and Chris can’t do enough for you and offer a great welcome. This……

“Myself, my 11 year old and our young dog spent our October half term on the farm and had a very lovely and relaxing stay.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they respected our privacy and didn't mind that our dog was a bit excited by all the farm animals (all of whom had loads of character!)
The night sky was beautiful although we only got one clear night to have a quick look at the stars - I'm sure it's absolutely breathtaking in the summer!

“We went out of season for a little break, & this was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble & the owners were so so lovely, friendly & very helpful.
