This property is not actually in a HOME, which was a bit misleading. It is in the upstairs of a retail building, and appears to have been an office space remodeled for apartments. The unit itself was in suitable condition. There were stains on the ceiling, the smoke detector was covered (assuming this was from a previous customer), all amenities were in working condition. The lock/security appeared low, one deadlock and pin controlled handle/lock (actually moved/not secured on the inside of the door). These felt flimsy and not super secure.
While I was there, there were cars idling outside, there was loud music from a mystery source, and multiple police cars came by a few times. Some conversation outside included guns, getting in cars, and harassment. The curtains don't block out any street light and the room remains lit through the night. I felt uncomfortable sleeping here. There is a lock on the bedroom door which helped a little bit. My discomfort led me to sleeping with a knife tucked below the mattress for any possible emergencies. I parked in the back and crossed my fingers my car would be there when I woke up. I would not recommend this place for women traveling alone. However I survived and enjoyed my stay (nice furniture!) besides feeling unsafe.
