I booked a stay at ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Spartanburg through Expedia. Upon arrival, the hotel asked for another credit card to put a one-dollar deposit on, so I gave them a different credit card than the one I used through Expedia. Later that night, I noticed I was charged a second time for the room I had already paid for. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, she gave me an explanation that didn’t make much sense but assured me she would contact Expedia and resolve the issue.
Despite this, I was charged two more times by the hotel for the same room, totaling four charges. After several phone calls, they refunded a couple of the charges but left two, meaning I was still charged twice. I made five phone calls to the hotel and contacted Expedia several times to finally resolve the issue. The hotel was unhelpful and failed to fix the problem despite promising to take care of it and call me back, which they never did. This experience wasted a lot of time and was very frustrating.
