“Love the cabin look on the inside and loved the boat theme for rooms . Nothing bad to say ”

“The property owners were very nice and helpful. Check-in was easy. The reference in the listing to a picnic on the beach seems mis-leading. You do have a nice view over the river and we had a pretty sunset but no beach. The house looks nicer in the pictures than in person although it is large and accommodated our needs. There are a lot DIY renovations that pretty odd but didn't really interfere with our stay. Just not as luxurious as represented. I should acknowledge I manage some rental……

“Lovely setting overlooking the Illinois river. Plenty of beds, bathrooms, and seating for our family reunion. The fireplaces indoors and outside were great. We loved the piano, which was in tune, for our sing alongs. And the large deck outside was wonderful for enjoying morning coffee and bird watching on the river. The water supply is from a well so bring bottled water for drinking and coffee making if you don‘t like the heavy iron taste of well water. Make sure to catch sunset over the river.”

“Great place to stay. The Manor House was located in a private setting in the woods on a secluded road on top a scenic hilltop along the Illinois river valley. Checking in was easy and accommodating. The Manor House was stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The decor was unique and well kept. The house was clean in every aspect. By far the best place we have stayed in the Peoria area to date. I hope to stay at The Manor House next year. ”

“The house is a block off Main Street but quiet. The Main Street has several fun and good restaurants. The house is dated but very clean and has basics of everything needed. Comfortable bed. Hot water. Good air conditioning and heat. Pleasant stay”
