Relaxing, Beautiful and Enjoyable

We had a great time at Beside the Point. It is a cottage not real big but big enough for us. They had everything we needed at the cottage. We dined in quick a lot and everything worked well. The view is amazing and I would have to say the private beach was the best. We love to kayak but could not go as far as we would have liked because one of the kayaks had holes. But going out kayaking was very enjoyable. We saw a ton of ocean life. Thank you for your cottage on our 40th Anniversary.

Paradise- Everything We Hoped For

There's nothing but wonderful things to say! The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The view is amazing, the sunning pad was sublime, and the private beach was simply perfection. Loved everything about this place and our stay here.

What a stunning location.

Sharon and Keith have provided an excellent retreat in the most beautiful location. Sit over looking the bay for breakfast or an evening drink. Steps lead down to the small private beach with loungers and kayaks. The wonderful and interesting gardens are a treat to wander through. Thanks Sharon and Keith for a great holiday, we would both love to return!

Lovely and well kept

It is clear that the owners take pride in this property. The house and gardens were gorgeous, and you have the whole bay to yourself to kayak, snorkel, swim and explore. We also loved the proximity to Ten Bay. We highly recommend taking a trip here.

Wonderful private cottage

A delightfully private cottage and beach. Well equipped cottage. Kayak was great. Wonderful to listen just to sounds of the sea, the birds, and the breeze. Keith and Sharon great hosts. Planting’s on property are beautiful.

Even Better than expected!

Having seen the images and read the reviews we knew we were going somewhere nice but none of that does this place justice. It is super clean inside the cottage with everything we needed for our almost 2 weeks stay and we had the whole beach/bay to ourselves! The view is truly amazing and the water is shallow very far out so it was great for walking in and swimming (with water shoes for the rocky shore). Screened in porch is great! The owners of the property that live right next door are so friendly and kind. They have put much work into the upkeep of their place and gardens to make this feel like home away from home for the guests. They were very helpful and informative whenever we had questions or wanted their recommendations of what was close by. I loved the lush bath towels and great set of pots and pans for preparing our own meals. Those were some things that were above and beyond what was expected at a vacation rental cottage. :) Thanks again for a great vacation!

Simply Wonderful

Reviewer Comments: We knew it would be a great vacation when we were immediately greeted with such beautiful tropical landscape as you begin your drive up to the property. The view from the cottage is amazing. We were extremely comfortable; the cottage was very clean and enough space for the 2 of us. We enjoyed our lunch every day on the screened in porch. There were 2 kayaks that are available for usage and we took advantage and used them everyday out in the calm peaceful cove. It was great to have the beach towels and beach chairs also available. Please note, there are steps down to the water and they can be a little tricky to navigate, especially going back up to the cottage. It's definitely a good cardio work out on the way back up. I'm not a good swimmer but I spent every day in the beautiful clear calm waters here. Normally I need a life jacket, pool noodle or floatation device but not here. The roads and the drive to the cottage from North Eleuthera airport are not the greatest but it's well worth the trip. The rental cars are not what one would usually find here in the states, but it was reliable enough to get us around. Grocery stores are limited, and the costs are high, but I don't find that unusual for a Caribbean island. The Potlatch was our favorite restaurant along with La Bougainvillea. Tippy's was great as well. As soon as I get over some health issues, I'm planning on returning to this wonderful cottage.

My husband and I could not have been more happy and relaxed as we were at Keith and Sharon's Beside the Pointe cottage. We were blessed with exquisite views and snorkeling on our private beach. This cottage has more than we could've asked for. All of our questions were answered quickly and the property owners went way out of their way to ensure our comfort, offer suggestions, provide us with daily goodies and became special friends. We cannot wait to return to our piece of paradise. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things. We did almost all of our cooking in, utilized laundry machines, and was so very comfortable

The cottage was in a great location for visiting different beaches every day and conveniently located near grocery stores and restaurants. The screened-in porch overlooking their amazing view was a favorite spot for breakfast every morning followed by kayaking and snorkeling off their beach. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed 7 days at Beside the Pointe in late August 2024. We have made numerous trips to Eleuthera, and this was by far the best vacation yet. We were searching for a private getaway, and this house was perfect. I was concerned about the owners being right next door; however, Sharon and Keith were terrific hosts and made us feel completely at home. They were there to assist with questions and valuable tips; otherwise, we never saw them. Sharon's mangoes are delicious!The views of the Caribbean from the property are breathtaking, but the pictures on the website do not do it justice. The cottage is in perfect order and extremely clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed sitting outside on the screened porch and enjoying our meals without fighting the mosquitos!We spent most of our days there on the private beach. The path to the beach is easy to navigate, but water shoes are a must. There is plenty of sand and lovely shallow waters for swimming and floating. To the right, there is fantastic snorkeling along the coral. We saw an array of beautiful fish and a few curious sting rays. After playing in the water all day, we sat on the beach chairs and soaked up the stunning views of the Caribbean. Ten Bay Beach is one of our favorite beaches, only a mile from the property. Island Farms is also nearby. It is a must for fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade breads, and meat. We stocked up on our way in and prepared many tasty dishes. Buccaneer and La Bougainvillea are excellent dining options in the area. If you arrive at North Eleuthera Airport, stop at Delish Lifestyle in James Cistern. They have lovely food and drinks, and the owners are welcoming and unforgettable.Our stay this year was nothing short of perfect. We are grateful to Pam for always helping us plan an unforgettable vacation and to Sharon and Keith for being the perfect hosts. This home was exactly what we needed for a rejuvenating exp

A Dream Location

Reviewer Comments: Arriving in the pouring rain to a primitive airport was not a great beginning for our long anticipated vacation.When we arrived at our location of Beside the Pointe that all turned around. Rarely do we find a place that lives up to the promotional pictures but this exceeded them by quite a bit! We enjoyed this place so much that we spent most of our time here even though we traveled and saw various sights and beaches on the Island. Ten Bay beach was our second favorite spot, minutes away. Found a pair of Manatees ghosting along - which initially scared the **** out of me before I realized what they were!As far as restaurants go Buccaneer's was the one we tried and found pretty good. Try their Conch fritters, yum! Cost Cutters 5 minutes South was best for groceries.Keith and Sharon were terrific hosts. Helpful, gracious and super friendly with wonderful tips and extreme knowledge of the island and people. Their property is almost self sustaining as they have so much produce growing on their land.The beach is far more than shown in photos - there is no one in sight for all of Savannah Sound! Snorkeling is great and kayaks on site to use. Made for taking pics and even used a Drone for amazing footage.This was a wonderful vacation and we plan to return to this Cottage in the future!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is incredible. When we were researching a place to stay on Eleuthera, we came across Beside the Pointe. The good reviews and pictures sold us and we booked our stay. However, we were not prepared for the view as we drove our vehicle to top of the drive beside the cottage. It is INCREDIBLE! Pictures do not capture the beauty at Beside the Pointe. Keith & Sharon have done an incredible job with their property. Every day held a different sky, different waters & a different sunset. There is so much beauty to behold in their cove. We really enjoyed the kayaks and our favorite time of the day on the water was early morning. It was crystal clear and still. Felt as if we were paddling on glass. The location of the cottage was a perfect jumping off point to explore both ends of the island. It also had everything we needed to enjoy a 3 wk stay and was spotless when we arrived. Keith & Sharon were so kind and knowledgeable about the island and always willing to help with anything we might need. Top notch folks. I would stay here time & time again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a perfect cottage our only issue is that the listing didn’t really express that the owners are right next door. So not quite as private as we like. In saying that, they were a wonderful couple and certainly respected our privacy. We hope we have made friends for life with them. So the only reason we won’t rent again is our desire for seclusion and prefer beach on Atlantic coast.

Outstanding Honeymoon Vacation!

We couldn't have asked for a better location, experience, or hosts for our week long honeymoon. Our hosts, Keith and Sharon, were friendly, helpful, and added to a very pleasant experience. They even shared avocados from their garden! Eleuthera is just as remote as we thought it would be, but it was a lot of fun to explore and experience. Words of wisdom... International flights out of Miami close out THIRTY MINUTES prior to departure time. Our incoming flight from Dallas was a little late due to mechanical issues, but we got to the Eleuthera gate about 18 minutes prior to departure time and the flight had already been closed out. So, if you're flying into Eleuthera from Miami - make sure you get to the gate well enough in advance in order to not miss your flight. Be prepared for the "no see ums"... We thought, "Oh, no big deal" - DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE! The no see ums will EAT YOU ALIVE! My wife was bitten quite a bit on her legs the first night at dinner and she still had marks and sores on her legs well after we were back in the states. My advice - BUG SPRAY, BUG SPRAY, BUG SPRAY!!! When you think you're covered, use a little bit more! But... other than those two lessons learned - this was an outstanding vacation. I've stayed in a number of VRBO rentals and NONE of them were as great as Beside the Pointe. Great communication stateside with the property managers prior to our departure and I can't say more about the positive experience with Keith and Sharon while staying at Beside the Pointe. We can't wait to go back!!!
