“I absolutely loved the area around the property, we walked everyday we were there for an hour every morning. The room was fine, I’m not a complainer normally but: the place just needed a bit more finishing and better quality household equipment. We were woken one morning around 4am by a critter scrabbling around in the ceiling I think, plus there were numerous spiders around inside. I was not concerned really as it is a very old house. The final complaint was the noise from the upstairs……

“We enjoyed our stay in Alan’s cozy cottage. It is beautiful. It had such a comfortable bed (the bed should have its own five star rating!). The kitchen was well equipped with essentials for us such as coffee maker, filters, mugs, plates, microwave, and more. It was a great place to come back to after days of exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. Alan is a very responsive host and we enjoyed meeting him.”
